Orell Füssli: Unfavourable economic environment affects annual results
Zurich, December 13, 2011. The Orell Füssli Group is still being adversely affected by the economically unfavourable environment and now expects overall results for 2011 to be significantly lower than those reported in the previous year. The postponement of the start of production of Swiss banknotes planned for the 4th quarter of 2011 has contributed to this outcome. This postponement is due to delays in deliveries from a supplier. Production can now no longer be started this year. Consumer sentiment and the declining propensity to invest are also having a negative impact on results at the group’s other two divisions. No more precise details of results can currently be provided; these will be published when the annual financial statements become available.
