Orell Füssli acquires SOFHA GmbH, Berlin

Leading software systems house for industrial digital printing solutions – strengthening of the Atlantic Zeiser Division – expansion of software competence – technologies for inkjet applications in packaging, industrial and security printing.

Zurich, January 6, 2010. Atlantic Zeiser GmbH, Emmingen (Germany), a member of the Orell Füssli Group, has acquired 74.9% of the shares of Berlin-based SOFHA GmbH with effect from January 1, 2010. The remaining shares will be retained by the current management and can be acquired in full at a later date. SOFHA is a leading software systems house in the field of industrial digital printing solutions featuring very high operating speeds. The company is a member of the exclusive circle of Adobe® Co-Development Partners with extensive source code access. SOFHA generates sales revenues of some CHF 3.7 million. Through the acquisition of SOFHA, Atlantic Zeiser aims to accelerate growth in high-resolution inkjet systems and to penetrate into new spheres of application. No information will be disclosed regarding the purchase price.
